Attention Racers

As you know, in 2010, the course changed. Due to some safety concerns, the Missouri State Water Patrol, in conjunction with our Course Committee, have moved the starting location of the course. The finish line is at the same place, only you will be starting down stream instead of by the bridge. The bluff will be on your left side instead of your right. After the finish line you will have approximately 5/6 of a mile to shut down before you reach Hi-Way Cove. You must be at idle speed when you reach the docks in front of Royale Palms and Plaza Gardens Condominiums.

"This new course proved to be an excellent course. All racers had time to shut down after their run and there were very few safety concerns. One of those concerns was the idle out to the start area. This is a totally no wake zone and we just want to remind you that there is on-coming traffic that you need to be aware of. Stay close to the shoreline and most of this traffic can be avoided."

Lake of the Ozarks Shootout being held at Captain Ron's Bar & Grill August 17-25, 2013 will bring the top racers and off shore racing power boats topping 208 MPH. The largest unsanctioned boat race in the midwest with over 100 racers and 100,000 spectators. Proceeds will benefit the Lake Area Rescue Teams, and other charitable organizations!
