Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Rules:
- Obey all boating laws.
- Use common sense at all times, both on and off the water.
- All Drivers must be 18 years of age or older.
- Limit one (1) person per boat unless the boat requires more occupants. Minimum length of boat allowed to run is 22' with exception of PWC.
- No alcoholic beverages allowed on boat while on the course.
- No driver determined to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed on the course.
- All drivers, if requested, must submit to a breath test. Any driver refusing will be disqualified.
- Fuel for the boats will NOT be stored on docks.
- All boats must complete a tech inspection each day in order to run.
- Approved racing PFD rated at a minimum of 100 mph impact for ALL boat occupants must be worn while on the course.
- Approved helmets must be worn by ALL boat occupants while on the course.
- Operating Kill switches are mandatory.
- Open exhaust only allowed to/from and on the course.
- Start boat has complete authority and drivers must follow their instruction or expect disqualification.
- Failure to stay in boundaries of course necessitates disqualification.
- In a situation where a wreck occurs and driver and/or other occupants are thrown from the boat, they must follow all instruction from the rescue crews.
- Non-refundable fee of $150.00 is required for any protest. A Committee of 3 will rule on all protests.
- Race Chairman has final authority over all disputes and rulings.
